Purpose
Clinton is a growing community with wonderful people, and people are a very important part of DaySpring Community Church. We are committed to helping people improve their relationship with God and each other. One of the ways that we try to accomplish this is through our Small Group Ministry. Through our Small Groups we provide many classes that teach the Bible and encourage people to build lasting relationships with others.
Q&A
Why Small Groups?
"Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us exhort one another: and so much the more as you see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:25
Our Small Group is a group of people who come together to learn from and impart to each other. These groups are where people find a sense of community since they are surrounded with people living in similar life circumstances. Small Groups enable you and your family to build relationships with other church members as you study God's Word together.
You may say "I go to the worship service most every week...isn't that enough?" Is it really that important for me to be part of a Small Group?
YES! We cannot overemphasize the importance of being in a Small Group. You are welcome to come to our worship service consistently and we would encourage you to do so, but it is very difficult to really get to know anyone in that setting. That is where the small group comes in. It helps you to get to know others and become part of the DaySpring community/family.
When do Small Groups meet?
Small Groups are available for you in the Acts 2 model known as Home groups, meeting on Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. a few small groups meet at the church.
How do I choose a Small Group?
Several factors may help you in finding a Small Group. We encourage you to check out several places before you make up your mind. Don't feel obligated to a group just because you visit it once. Don't worry about hurting small group leaders' feelings. They want you to find the right Small Group for you. This may take a while with the number of groups we offer. So take your time. But be sure and get plugged in to one! The most important thing is following the Holy Spirit's leading to the group for you.
What are the Groups like?
Just as cars and people are different, so are each of our Small Groups. That's why it's so important for you to find the one that God wants you to join.
Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to engage in fellowship, or to work on a specific task.
DaySpring encourages participation in small groups. The following groups are currently meeting:
